Mile High Rowing Club competes at the 2014 Wichita Frostbite Regatta

2014 Frostbite Mile HighMile High Rowing Club (MHRC) continues its success while competing in the 2014 Fall racing season at the Wichita Frostbite Regatta held Nov. 2nd. MHRC was among twenty six teams and more than 400 rowers that competed in the 1.7-mile head race on the Little Arkansas River. MHRC competed against 12 junior clubs from six states as well as college teams that included the University of Colorado, Colorado State, Oklahoma, Iowa State, Kansas State, Wichita State, Nebraska, and Grand Valley.

Highlights from the regatta are represented by the following results;

MHRC has been achieving amazing success since the inception of the club in 2008. The club has turned out three national Champions since 2010 (Maddie Lips in 2010 in the single sculls and Pair team of Kendall Chase and Alana Bobka in 2012). The boys team has also achieved great success recently, qualifying for and competing in the Youth National Championships in both 2013 and 2014.

MHRC is a youth (ages 13 – 18) rowing club operating on the waters of Cherry Creek reservoir in Denver. The club’s mission is to provide a healthy experience and atmosphere where student athletes can experience all the benefits that rowing has to offer.
